Justine Martin is a Missing Person- Can You HELP?

Having kids close in age really hits close to home. A talent agent's daughter has been missing from the Atlanta area since last Monday (June 29th). My voiceover friend from Minneapolis, Terry Daniel has posted the following informational video clip on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMR3Pi0D9_s

or view here:
...

Photos from My Summer Vacation

Man, it's tough to get ready to leave for vacation. So many details to handle. And it's been bonkers since returning. Waiting for me was a garden with about 5 pounds of green beans, tomatos and squash that had to be picked and processed, a mountain of mail, rush v/o jobs, laundry, grocery shopping to get some food here and general organizing.

Thus it's taken me a while to even download the following photos.
I think I mentioned we stayed with a friend, and I made a makeshift recording booth in her basement. John Florian at VoiceoverXtra was curious if I ...

Back in the saddle...

OK- I am now back, rested and ready for work after some serious vacation fun in Wisconsin. I think it was probably the longest I've gone without writing some kind of entry here.
And I didn't feel guilty about that at all. Well I did think about it. But I was staying with a friend and she only has a dial-up connection, so that was a factor, too.

The only voiceover related items I did was field email, and saved scripts for my return to the booth. There were a few choice auditions, too: For Milk, (got milk?) a PBS Kids ...

Another TV Commercial

Here is another commercial which used my voiceover work for Brian Weiss & Hay House Publishing.
...

See Success with a Winning Attitude

Despite the challenging economic times, many businesses manage to keep their heads above water, which can bring the best out in people.

I'm not just in this field of voice acting for the money, although coming off of my best year ever certainly helps. I just realized that I've been a professional working and supported by the microphone for almost for over three quarters of my LIFE! I must say I absolutely love what I do. I think if you are enthusiastic and believe in yourself and your business,… Continue

I Rock The Mic VO

Social networking is a must these days. So far, I am building several networks and getting "out there" on myspace, facebook, linkedin, plaxo hi5, Digg, etc. etc.... So far, from what I can tell, this takes a chunk of time...but it can be fun. I can only engage when I am not otherwise working or having a life.

Moderation and balance are key!

A few weeks back I joined as the 105th or so member of the latest voiceover networking rage, I rock the mic vo!

This site is totally unique because it's a… Continue

What's Never Out of Style? Part 2

I must confess I felt like I was in the "Twilight Zone" right after I published Part 1 of this series and then opened my email.

No sooner had I uploaded the file and podcast, but a very intriguing story appeared in the Voices.com Vox Daily that day that gave me pause. But, which dovetails perfectly with this short series.

Stephanie Ciccarelli was covering the Voice Coaches Marketing Expo conference citing trends in "Big League VO" presented by Billy Serow of New York's Abrams Artists Agency.… Continue

What is Never Out Of Style?

The following is a recent post on my blog with accompanying podcast at blog.bobbinbeam.com

What Is Never Out Of Style?

It is useful to sometimes reflect upon one's past experiences in order to gain a sense of perspective on the current state of the voice-over world. That sense of history and the way things used to be done in comparison to how things are handled now also presents some startling , highly contrasting snapshots of sweeping cha… Continue

Hello Number Buddy & VOICE Teammate!
Great to hear from you. I hope all is well. I look forward to hearing all about what you are up to in your blogs.
Since we won't have VOICE 2009, I guess we'll have to keep in touch by keystroke. So here's to a fantastic year of being only a "click" away.
All the best to you,
Connie Mustang
