You are your biggest PR Machine.

VOICEOVER UNIVERSE was created because I had many wanting the "inside secret" to landing a VO gig. Last time I checked there was no real secret, but There are "secrets to vo success:)" Sure it helps to know people, but it takes only YOU to keep the job.Though I'm heard nationally ... I've been blessed to land these gigs based on my own faith and hard work... no agent in my vicinity. It doesn't nearly compare to being heard on the major networks or thousands of trailers, but if you love this...the journey is best part of it all!

Pace yourselves, have fun and find your niche' or "money voice." If you want to be one of the best, you have to SURROUND YOURSELVES WITH THE BEST! EAGLES SOAR HIGH WITH OTHER EAGLES... THEY DO NOT "QUACK" WITH DUCKS. Just like many, I'm a "shelved" talent that would love an agent that will at least give me gigs, but truthfully, YOU are your biggest PR agent! Persistence, hard work, patience, humility and ability to take good direction & constructive critism will take you further then you could ever imagine. Do not waste your time buying expensive equipment, find a good voiceover coach instead, and acting classes won't hurt either. Manley, Neumann, nor Sennheiser can help you if you haven't mastered the copy.

Additionally, Don't purchase ISDN if you're NOT getting gigs regularly, be smart with your money. Start with a great USB mic, I personally recommend the Samson CO3U, add friggin' demos to your pages... ya never know who's listening!

When I was a kid and grandpa had to "go," he'd bang on the door, and would always say, "Squat or get off the pot." That prompted me to always move forward and get the job done. If you want to be successful... stop sleeping at the wheel. YOU are your biggest PR Machine!
